Framed Shower Enclosures

Framed shower enclosures have been a fixture in bathrooms for decades. Mainly made out of lightweight but durable Aluminum framing, which is incapable of rusting like steel, these shower enclosures are extremely affordable and long lasting. Framed enclosures (sometimes referred to as semi-frameless enclosures depending on the model) come in a variety of configurations, hardware finishes and glass types but though they do have less design flexibility than heavy glass frameless showers.

One of the most popular configurations involves a swinging shower door, often with a small fixed shower panels adjacent to it or even a return panel. These units are made up of much thinner glass than frameless units, normally 3/16” or 1/4” thick glass and are normally available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel and Oil Rubbed Bronze Hardware.

A second popular configuration is a sliding shower door unit, sometimes called a bypass shower enclosure. These units normally have two panels of 3/16” or 1/4” glass that roll in a track on wheels and are also normally available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel and Oil Rubbed Bronze Hardware. These are very popular showers to use with basic fiberglass tub enclosures.

These units are available for a wide variety home bathroom remodeling applications. Call us today to discuss your specific needs.
